Why little goals are HUGE

This week I set my RDF community the challenge of doing 10 push ups EVERY DAY.

In practice this will take approximately 1 minute a day, with very little impact on anyone’s week.

So, why bother?

I love little goals for rebuilding trust with myself.

Yes, I set some huge goals for myself at the start of the year, but these little goals and challenges all build towards the bigger picture.

Whether it’s fitness, nutrition, mindset, even just 1 minute a day, these tiny tasks break down barriers to getting started, we get to tick things off our to-do list and we start to see we can do almost anything we put our mind to.

Some tiny tasks that build big trust…

  • If the HIIT workout feels too much, do 10 squats, 10 lunges, 10 press ups and 10 sit ups
  • If a whole workout makes you want to curl up on the sofa just get outside for a 10 minute walk
  • If planning your whole week is too overwhelming, just make a plan for tomorrow
  • If journaling feels too much, write down one thing in your notes app that you’re grateful for

What little goals are you going to start to build back trust with yourself?
